Publications
Reports, publications and articles provide details about the history and
geography of poverty in the US and policy responses to poverty over the last 50
years. The studies focus on the level of effort undertaken to alleviate poverty
and how it has changed over time. Special reports focus on the relationship
between economic development policy such as prison development and other forms
of infrastructure development and poverty alleviation. A series of community
economic base studies examine the role that natural resources play in timber
communities around the US. Supporting reports for the tools provided on the
site also are posted in the publications section.
